You're not resetting the cooldown of this, so you need to be more ware of when you're using this. But it also has the added effect of it will do more damage against recently tripped enemies. So, that's where you really want to save this, is if you've tripped someone, or if someone else has tripped an enemy, you capitalize on it by basically smashing down on them with this. – Tradd Thompson

Base skill

Perform a powerful melee strike in a short forward cone, dealing physical damage to all targets hit, plus 100% additional damage to recently tripped targets.

Slicing Maim upgrade

Maim launches a piercing projectile that deals damage to enemies in its path.
