Alpha-2 Spell focus.[1]

Spell focuses are offhand items that are used to enhance your spell casting. They replace a shield or sigil in a player's off-hand slot.[2][1]

  • These can take the appearance of objects, such as orbs, books, shrunken heads.[2]
Spell focuses can take many different forms. You saw an orb there. the spell focus could be a book. It could be a shrunken head. It could be something really interesting, but it's a way for non-shield users or non-sigil users to incorporate an element into their offhand if they want to be a one-handed weapon user.[2] – Steven Sharif
